Foam-in-place actually conforms to the article creating a protective shield and preventing any movement. Items such as electronics and laboratory equipment need to be protected from moisture that causes corrosion and rust. To prevent this type of damage requires vacuum sealing in barrier bags or other water and weather proofing in order to prevent moisture penetration. Larger packages or crates may require special rigging for cranes or inspection panels for easy access.
